About the Artists
Lucy Abernathy is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee. At 21 years old, she has spent half of her life playing and performing, most notably in local band The Pinklets. Now, as a solo artist, Lucy works in Nashville. She is currently recording her first solo project, which combines her rock sensibility with intimate guitar elements for a pared down yet powerful sound. She also plays guitar in the Nashville-based punk/hip hop band The Kavities.
Ashleigh Caudill, a folksinger, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist will draw you into the tales she spins. Her sweet yet powerful vocals take you on a lonely train ride through the mountains, a drive along the countryside, or back in time with warm, dancing melodies and spacious, acoustic instrumentation. With the simple elegance of self accompaniment, Caudill delivers a moving solo performance. Stripping away the production and the fanfare showcases her songs in their most primitive and intimate form. Be it bass, banjo, or guitar, each composition is highlighted with the perfect pairing. You may have heard her music on popular TV show, Roswell New Mexico, or performed by bluegrass artists Balsam Range, Jim Hurst and more. Her songs are constructed with an architect’s touch and her performances hum with an excitement in the crisp arrangements that lift each song. If you like your music sophisticated, fun and honest, you need look no further.
